A missing gift-pack component needs a feasible dispatch alternative tied to the approved combination and customer promise. Compare waiting, a previously approved alternate pack and an explicitly agreed service change. A substitute is usable only when its complete required configuration is available and authorised.

Identify the incomplete gift precisely
Name the product and its selected box, insert, card and service. The component matching record prevents a superficially similar part from entering an unapproved combination.
Keep the material shortage separate from a packing error. A card that exists but was omitted needs correction; a card with no usable stock needs a supply or service decision.
An alternate card can still leave the route blocked
Consider a hypothetical gift requiring box B1, insert I1 and card C1. C1 has no usable stock. A previously approved alternate uses card C2 with holder I2, but I2 is also unavailable.

| Proposed route | Available evidence | Dispatch consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Use selected B1/I1/C1 | C1 absent | Incomplete |
| Use approved alternate C2/I2 | C2 has eight units, I2 absent | Still incomplete |
| Wait for C1 | Expected Tuesday receipt; promised Monday dispatch | Deadline conflict remains |
| Change the gift service | No customer agreement yet | Not authorised |
The eight C2 cards do not create eight feasible alternate gifts. The whole permitted combination controls the answer. Tuesday receipt also remains an estimate until its readiness is established.
Retain the promise behind the choice
Determine which presentation the buyer purchased and whether a change needs their agreement under the actual service. This article doesn’t authorise removing paid features, altering required product information or sending an unreviewed pack.
If an authorised change is made, update the physical instruction and order record together. The packer should not receive the original service flag with a different verbal instruction.
For waiting, identify the actual usable component date and relevant dispatch limit. A general supplier message saying “on the way” may not support the required timing.
Release only the resolved order state
Return the chosen combination, timing and authority to the packing team. A continued hold should name the missing condition and next owner. The useful result is a specific feasible order route or a visible unresolved promise, rather than an improvised replacement selected from whatever looks similar on the shelf.
Make the hold instruction name the unresolved condition
A useful dispatch hold is specific enough that the packing team cannot resolve it by choosing a similar-looking part. Record both the missing material and the authority needed for the proposed service. Do not count an alternative until all its required parts and permitted use are established.

| Fictional branch | Condition still missing | Who must answer | Instruction until answered |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selected B1/I1/C1 | Usable C1 cards | Stock or supply owner | Hold this named combination |
| Proposed approved C2/I2 route | Usable I2 holders, despite eight C2 cards | Component owner | Zero feasible alternate gifts established |
| Wait for C1 | Actual usable arrival versus Monday promise | Supply and customer-service owners | Keep date conflict open |
| Change the service | Required customer agreement and revised packing instruction | Responsible service owner | Do not remove the promised component unilaterally |
The example does not supply a legal or customer-policy rule for changing an order. The responsible team must determine the actual agreement and service route. A source saying the part is available does not establish that its use is accepted for this gift.
Once a branch is resolved, return one current configuration and instruction to the bench. Withdraw the superseded instruction and retain the reason for the decision. If the alternate holder later changes, reopen the affected fit and identity questions instead of extending the previous approval to the new part.
The component matching map records permitted combinations. The backup packaging route plan checks interruption coverage earlier. This record closes neither by itself: it establishes which specific missing component, timing or permission still prevents this order from proceeding.
Download the missing gift packaging component record (.csv). It contains field definitions, clearly hypothetical examples and a blank actual-project row. Replace the invented entries; a blank field is unknown, not an approved result.
Send the specific open decision with the brief
Bring the current record, packaging configuration, actual evidence available and the unresolved question to Packrivo’s packaging inquiry. State who must answer and which next step remains on hold. Packrivo coordinates sourcing and project questions with independent suppliers; this record is not a manufacturing or fulfilment service commitment.

What this changes in a packaging enquiry
Name the missing approved component before asking for an alternative purchase or emergency replacement. Send its function, dimensions, current version and the deadline for usable stock. A substitute is a new configuration to review; having some spare cards or boxes does not authorize dispatch with an unapproved combination.
