This is a packaging concept. The supplier should identify the actual trays, body, base and proposed joins before any load or stability evaluation.
Separate tray parts from the display body
The tray floor display reference describes separated tiered trays. Ask for the actual tray-to-body relationships and setup order. ‘Separated’ does not automatically mean each tray is removable during use.
Label each tray and any differing joints. Show the supplied state and the fully formed fixture. Keep top header and base components in the setup scope if they are part of the proposal.
Compare a pocket floor display where stock is assigned to individual cells. The tray option instead needs a record of continuous tray layouts and tray-level replenishment.
Assign complete stock to each tray
Provide each unit’s full envelope, actual weight and intended orientation. Show rows and any dividers or front profiles on every tray. A unit count without its positions leaves the loading and access jobs unresolved.
For a hypothetical display of flat gift sets, staff may fill one tray from above while customers remove a front item. Record those different routes. Ask whether stock is repositioned after partial depletion.
Review the refill action with neighbouring trays loaded. A demonstration on an otherwise empty fixture can hide the actual reach or joining interface staff must use.
Use a tray operation record
Keep the same fixture revision across all trays. One row should assign a specific setup or stock action.
| Tray operation | Part/input | Owner and evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Prepare | Tray ID and delivered form | Supplier supplied-state view |
| Join | Actual tray/body interface | Setup role and instruction |
| Load | Unit rows and components | Packer and full tray image |
| Use | Customer grip and reduced layout | Removal sequence |
| Refill | Proposed route and stock order | Staff action with other trays loaded |
A changed joint can affect setup even when the front artwork is unchanged. Keep the joint revision in the operation record rather than only in the structural file.
Review a particular replenishment question
For the hypothetical fixture, call the middle tray T2 and its body join J2. If T2 needs repositioning to refill, ask whether that action is part of the confirmed proposal. Do not call a fixed tray removable merely because a model can be pulled apart.
Confirm the base, placement requirements and who installs the fixture. Any required load, stability or retail-location assessment needs the actual complete configuration and responsible evidence.
Record visible joint or unit movement during the agreed full and reduced checks. Keep a restocking observation separate from a product-removal observation so the next supplier response addresses the right job.
Bring the tray operations to the brief
Send labeled tray/joint drawings, unit layouts, setup and refill requests, quantity and destination through Get a Quote. Packrivo’s minimum is 500 pieces per design. Final construction, samples and commercial terms require project confirmation.
