The number of complete gift packs is limited by the scarcest approved required component after accounting for its quantity per set. Divide each usable component stock by its per-set requirement, round down, and take the smallest result. Extra boxes cannot compensate for missing inserts or cards.

Use the approved combination

List the components for the particular gift configuration. Keep variant-specific inserts and sleeves separate; a common outside box doesn’t establish that every inner component can substitute.

The component matching map defines permitted combinations. This calculation counts complete packs within that map. It does not approve a new combination or assign held material a usable status.

Include the required count per set. Two care cards per gift create a different constraint from one. Optional components belong in a separate service scenario rather than limiting every standard pack.

Read the smallest capacity

Assume one approved configuration has 500 boxes, 420 inserts, 900 cards and 460 sleeves. Each gift uses one box, one insert, two cards and one sleeve.

Scroll horizontally if columns extend beyond the view.

Component Usable stock Units per gift Complete gifts supported
Box 500 1 500
Insert 420 1 420
Cards 900 2 450
Sleeve 460 1 460

The hypothetical output is 420 complete gifts. After assembling them, 80 boxes, zero inserts, 60 cards and 40 sleeves remain. Those residuals describe components, not additional complete gifts.

Adding 80 approved inserts alone would not enable another 80 gifts. The remaining cards support 30 and the sleeves support 40, so cards would become the next constraint. Calculate the whole remaining combination after each proposed replenishment.

The addition of 80 inserts is a hypothetical change in usable inventory, not a new-production offer. Packrivo’s minimum order quantity remains 500 pieces per product/design; this example does not establish an order below that minimum.

Keep reserved quantities outside free capacity

If 100 of the 420 inserts are already committed elsewhere, only 320 remain for this calculation. Deduct the corresponding commitments consistently across the components. Don’t subtract an order twice if its requirements are already excluded from the usable stock figures.

Prebuilt gifts need a clear count boundary. If their components are still included in the loose-stock totals, adding finished gifts again will double count capacity. Label each count as loose component stock or completed sets.

Use the resulting set count to plan feasible assembly, then retain separate timing and labor decisions. Having enough components does not prove the gifts can be completed before a deadline. The worksheet answers material capacity for a named configuration and nothing broader.

Recalculate the residual combination after replenishment

After the hypothetical 420 gifts, the 60 remaining cards support only 30 more two-card gifts. If 80 inserts arrive and all other assumptions stay unchanged, the residual capacities become 80 boxes,80 inserts,30 card-supported gifts and 40 sleeve-supported gifts. The next complete-gift capacity is 30,not 80.

Keep the original assembly issue and the new receipt as distinct transactions so the residual record can be followed. If a commitment is already deducted from the usable counts, do not subtract it again. A candidate substitute insert must become an accepted component in the configuration before its quantity can increase usable capacity.

Component capacities of 500 box-supported, 420 insert-supported, 450 card-supported and 460 sleeve-supported gifts yield a minimum of 420 complete gifts.

What this changes in a packaging enquiry

Use the limiting component to identify the purchasing gap: ordering more boxes will not produce more complete gifts while an approved insert or card is missing. Send the component IDs, units per gift and required complete-set quantity together; confirm whether each component is quoted individually or as part of an assembled set. A relevant configuration to compare is the Jewelry box with fitted insert; it is a concept reference, not confirmed suitability.
