Your starting brief

Send the label dimensions, printed content and actual application surface. Describe the exposure or handling concern in practical terms; a glossy appearance does not establish a coating, adhesive or resistance specification.

The minimum is Packrivo’s project threshold. Availability for the chosen structure, material and finish is checked for your project.

What affects the price

  1. Size

The finished dimensions and usable interior determine material use and product fit.

  2. Structure

Closures, folds and assembly steps change the work needed to make the pack.

  3. Materials

Board, wrap and insert choices affect both construction and material cost.

  4. Printing & finishes

Artwork coverage, colors and decoration steps change setup and finishing costs.

  5. Quantity

The quantity per design changes how setup and production costs are distributed.

Define the use before requesting a coating

  • Identify the label shape, printed information, application surface and position on the pack.
  • Describe the actual handling or exposure conditions and name the observations you want the sample review to record.
  • Request the proposed face material, coating and adhesive as separate specification fields, including the delivery format.

Compare the proposed construction and intended use

Compare a coated proposal with an alternative face material using the same surface, artwork and review conditions. Ask the supplier to identify the exact construction and its supporting information. Keep moisture, abrasion, environmental and other claims separate; one appearance or sample observation does not establish all of them.

For a food-contact request, the buyer document checklist helps identify the intended use and the questions to take to the supplier; it does not turn a coated appearance into a compliance claim.

Review an identified candidate on the actual surface

  • Apply the candidate to the intended pack and use the agreed handling or exposure method rather than an undefined waterproof test.
  • Record the method, conditions, observations and identity of the material, coating and adhesive reviewed.
  • If a food-contact use is intended, specify that use and the relevant market before requesting applicable material documentation.

MOQ and project scope

MOQ: 500 pieces per product / design. State the quantity for each design, not just the combined order total. Packrivo helps organize the brief and supplier questions. The relevant supplier confirms the proposed materials, construction, price, sample scope and delivery timing for the agreed configuration.

Include your destination and any open inputs. If a detail is not yet known, name who will provide it before the next review.

Before you send a brief

Can I use my own branding?

Include your desired logo placement, print surfaces and colors. Final artwork must use the approved supplier dieline and pass proof review.

Can you make exactly what the picture shows?

The picture is an AI-assisted concept, not a production promise. Structure, materials, tolerances and finishing need supplier review and a physical sample.

What happens after an inquiry?

A person reviews the brief and missing details. Supplier checks and sample or quotation discussions follow only after the next steps are agreed.

What happens next?

  1. Share the product.
  2. Organize open questions.
  3. Complete supplier-specific checks.
