This concept requires supplier confirmation of the actual display, joins and intended load. The floor footprint and placement requirements belong in the brief.
Name positions before assigning stock
The pocket floor display reference describes cells or pockets in a grid. Ask for the proposed front, side and footprint drawings. Identify rows, columns and any pockets that differ in depth or profile.
Provide complete retail-unit envelopes and actual weights. Include backing cards, wrapping and projecting tabs. Assign them to pocket IDs so a taller unit cannot be swapped into a convenient position during the trial without a record.
Keep a tray floor display comparison separate. A continuous tray and a pocket grid can create different refill and customer-access work.
Review removal and refill by position
For a hypothetical gift-card display, select representative top, middle and lower pockets as well as any special corner position. Review the intended grip route with complete stock present.
After selected units are removed, photograph the remaining pattern. State whether staff move stock forwards or leave it in place. Review refill through the actual pocket opening while neighbouring pockets remain loaded.
Record the user’s position and support required for setup. Any accessibility, stability or loading requirement should be described for responsible evaluation rather than inferred from a rendering.
Use a pocket assignment record
Keep each pocket’s item and action tied to the drawing. Fill measured dimensions and criteria only when the source is confirmed.
| Pocket field | Input | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Position ID | Row, column and profile | Front/side map |
| Assigned stock | Unit envelope and count | Full pocket view |
| Customer access | Grip and removal direction | Action with neighbours loaded |
| Reduced state | Remaining stock arrangement | Starting view after depletion |
| Refill | Staff route and order | Actual loading action |
| Footprint/setup | Proposed base and joints | Supplied-to-formed instruction |
A contact at one pocket does not automatically require changing every pocket. Name its position and the part that meets the unit.
Keep the formed structure in the review
Confirm the delivered preparation, pocket assembly and base proposal. Ask who sets up the fixture and whether any components are fitted on site. The complete supplied set should match the setup instruction.
For the hypothetical record, call the lower-right pocket LR1 and its gift-card bundle G1. If staff must use another route to refill LR1, keep that action visible. Ask the supplier whether the pocket geometry or instruction should change.
Review full and reduced arrangements under an agreed sample scope. These observations are not a load rating or proof of safe use in every retail location; required evaluations need the actual proposed structure and conditions.
Send the pocket-by-pocket job
Bring the pocket map, unit details, removal/refill observations, footprint, quantity and destination to Get a Quote. The minimum is 500 pieces per design. Final construction, components, samples and commercial terms require project confirmation.
